17 February 2012
Wednesday night will never be the same at Scratch now that we’ve got Dublin’s best FM 104 Urban DJ Frank Jez taking up the residency. At this new Wednesday event Frank Jez will be raising the roof with his urban and commercial sets. And every so often he’ll be bringing along some guest DJs from Dublin.
Frank is recognised as Ireland’s Number 1 Urban & Celebrity DJ. He is a resident DJ at the Wright Venue Dublin and Ink Letterkenny and over the past 10 years he has worked in many premier Hip Hop & RnB nightclubs in Ireland and the UK.
Frank has DJ'd at private parties for an extensive range of celebrities and personalities and he has also opened shows for International Acts such as –Kelis, Black Eyed Peas, Taio Cruz, Pixie Lott, Mark Ronson, LMFAO, Calvin Harris, 50 Cent, Jay Z and Rihanna (though these are only a few of the many examples)! He has also DJ’d for MTV and at the Oxegen Festival.
Come along on Wednesdays to hear Frank Jez playing the tunes. You will be guaranteed a quality night out. Entry is only £4 and is open from 10pm-2am.
Botanic Inns Newsletter
15 February 2012
Welcome to the first edition of Innsider for 2012, and on the face of it there is a lot to look forward to this year. Certainly, as you will see from this publication, we have a lot going on over the next three months, and hopefully there is something of interest to you.
To pick a few things out, we are delighted to see Messrs’ Grimes and McKee back with their play in McHughs, “The Dock, The Clock, The Back Door Knock”. When first performed in October, to celebrate the 300th birthday of McHughs, this was a sell out and greatly enjoyed by all who attended. The Basement in McHughs was a perfect venue and the proximity of the audience to the stage made for a very intimate evening. So don’t miss out this time.
On the sporting front, as always we look forward to the Six Nations and this year, like every year, we will be doing all we can to enhance the occasion for all. Let’s just hope Ireland go all the way. If they do it could be the best Saint Patrick’s Day in years! We also have the Munster vs Ulster game to look forward to. What a day that will be. Again, we will be doing all we can to ensure the occasion is one to remember and let’s hope we get the right result. And then we have the European Nations Championships followed by the Olympics! A great year for the sports enthusiast!
